The idea came to Basel native Alexis Weil when his father retired, even though he still felt fit as a senior citizen and would have liked to remain active in the job market. While many young retirees want to continue working, companies are increasingly faced with the challenge of finding skilled workers for their vacancies. The young entrepreneur recognized the immense potential of the older generation for the job market and founded seniors@work in 2018 to connect 50plus and retirees with companies and thus solve two problems at once.
seniors@work offers one-off projects or part-time and full-time jobs in over 30 categories such as accounting, administration, mentoring, nursing, architecture, crafts, childcare and many more.
With a profile, you can be found by clients and contacted for orders or jobs. You can also greatly reduce the time and effort you spend on each application. You can easily apply for interesting jobs with just a few clicks.

Yes, in principle you are aou are still liable to pay AHV contributions after retirement. However, employees of normal retirement age are entitled to an allowance of CHF 1,400.00 per month or CHF 16,800.00 per year per employer. In this case, you only have to pay AHV, IV and EO contributions for the difference. The ALV contribution is waived completely.
